About Us In English

Effective altruism is a research field which uses high-quality evidence and careful reasoning to work out how to help others as much as possible. It is also a community of people taking these answers seriously, by focusing their efforts on the most promising solutions to the world's most pressing problems. Read more.

Effective Altruism Estonia is a national group composed of two city groups - Effective Altruism Tallinn and Effective Altruism Tartu. We aim to increase the awareness and understanding of effective altruism and enable people’s career and donation decisions to have larger positive impacts.

To do this we create opportunities for people to learn about the world’s most pressing problems and how to use their career to help solve them, and foster a friendly community of people helping each other to do as much good as we can in the world.
